Hand-Coded CSS Tweak for Paragraph Sidenotes from Stratos.me

Geroulis Eustratios, at Stratos.me, is an advocate of hand-coding CSS instead of installing plugins.  He explains that  plugins are resource hungry (and may even create security issues on your blog).  Getting rid of unnecessary plugins makes your blog “lighter,” improving load time.

Paragraph sidenotes
add a nice touch.

To create a paragraph sidenote like the one here, simply copy and paste the CSS code that Stratos generously provides.  His clear instructions make it easy, and it’s quicker than finding and installing a plugin to do the trick.  Other featured WordPress tweaks will accomplish the following:

  • Hand-coded sociable plugins
  • Create a search page
  • Add a “featured” post to your theme
  • Delete post revisions
