Continuing Tour of Best WP Design Contest and Notes

I’m still touring nominated sites in the Best WordPress Design 2009 contest sponsored by Fresh eVenture. The following notes include another blogging site and two parenting sites.

• BrandBuildSell – This site is designed by Arsha Jones, web designer and owner of the site. It is colorful, attractive, functional, and created “for the everyday person, with little money and little time to spend making their site fancy.” (Thank you!) Newbies, look for expert advice here.
• EarnestParenting – A beautifully designed site with a clever logo and a must-see group charicature of the blog owners four sons. Parents will love this site. The content is well summed up by the tagline, “Honest discussion about parenting. You’re not the only one.” Humor and hearth-warmth abound.
• NewAgeRetroMum – This site uses the Streamline theme from StudioPress. It has been customized by the site owner, Helena Denly at D-Zyne Solutions. Content is beautifully displayed on the landing page with a feature content gallery and article thumbnails. It’s a magazine-style site that would be of interest to young mothers.
